The story

The story

I was born in the Tri-Cities and raised in Othello, in the heart of the 509. My roots come from Michoacán and Jalisco.

My parents started in the orchards and fields—apples, cherries, onions, and potatoes. They could not always afford a babysitter, so they brought me with them. Some of my earliest memories are running between trees and tall grass under the same sun they worked in all day.

When I was a kid, my dad handed me a twelve-pack of soda and told me to sell it, make something from it, buy more with the same money, and keep it moving. In that heat, the sodas sold themselves. That was my first business.

Local does not mean small. It means real.

I went to the University of Washington as a first-generation student, then worked in brand representation and technology sales. Across industries, I kept noticing the same thing: business owners with real skill, pride, and reputation whose online presence made their work look smaller than it was.

My mother always told me to build something of my own. DOZA is that something—a way to bring what I learned back to the communities that raised me and build the digital advantage our businesses deserve.

The studio began with websites. Today, DOZA also designs web applications, mobile apps, commercial menus and DOZA TV, booking and operations systems, photography, film, SEO, and paid campaigns. The work has expanded. The reason for doing it has not.

What we carry

Local does not mean small. It means real.

01

Honor

We honor the people who built this region with their hands and the owners who still put their name behind the work. Every engagement begins with respect for what already exists.

02

Pride

The finished work should be worth showing your customers, your team, your family, and your community. If it does not make the business feel stronger, it is not finished.

03

Dignity

Good design does not disguise a business. It reveals the care, intelligence, and ambition that were already there—and gives them room to grow.
